Highlighting the non-existent detrimental is complicated.
“Don’t be late,” isn’t as helpful as, “We’re going to depart on time.”
“I don’t need to be impolite, however…” can simply get replaced by merely saying one thing that isn’t impolite.
And naturally, “with all due respect…” is commonly the preface to one thing stated with out due respect.
